FAITH STATEMENT
• We believe that the Bible is the only inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God.
• We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
• We believe in God the Father, an infinite, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love; that He is mercifully involved in the affairs of men; that He hears and answers prayer; that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him.
• We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ; in His virgin birth; in His sinless life; in His miracles; in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood; in His bodily resurrection; in His ascension to the right hand of the Father; in His personal return in power and glory.
• We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit. He indwells Christians and enables them to live godly lives. We further believe that biblical examples of the Holy Spirit's power and gifts of are available to believers today.
• We believe that mankind was created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him and were alienated in that relationship through their own sinful disobedience. As a result, man is incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through man's greatest accomplishments or best deeds.
• We believe that the blood Jesus Christ shed on a Roman cross is the only way for the sins of humanity to be forgiven. Therefore, salvation occurs only when faith is placed in the work Christ finished on the cross.
• We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: the saved enjoy the resurrection of life, and the lost suffer the resurrection of damnation.
• We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which the Lord Jesus is the head. The members of the church are those who trust Christ for salvation. The church's purpose is to glorify God by loving Him and making Him known to the world.
• We believe it is important to uphold the scriptural practices of the early church. Therefore, we practice water baptism and take communion regularly. We do not believe that these practices are essential for salvation, but that they serve as a demonstration of our living faith in Christ.
