HISTORY

Tony Caruso    Eight years ago, after Captain Tony Caruso gave his life to Jesus; he was committed to being obedient to God, and following His will. One day he was overwhelmed by the Holy Spirit and heard God’s voice say "You will take people fishing and tell them about me and I will provide everything. Amos 3:7." The experience encouraged Tony, and he knew God had a plan for him, but he did not know how God was going to accomplish it, since financially, he could not afford a boat and the fishing equipment needed. So he waited and trusted in Gods promise. One day, he was led to a family party, it was there that he met a certain gentleman and shared his testimony. This person, moved by his testimony, and touched by the way the ministry would combine outdoor sport, with sharing the "good news" of the gospel, decided to provide the resources needed to start the fishing ministry. He provided a fishing boat, and committed to fund the ministry for the glory of God. Tony’s wife Jeannie, suggested the name "GOOD NEWS" for the boat, and on that day the GOOD NEWS Fishing Ministry was birthed. They started taking different groups out fishing, and preaching a message based on Holy Bible scripture. As the ministry grew, more and more youth groups became excited on how the ministry could be used as an outreach to inner city kids in Broward and Palm Beach counties. The ministry is now on their third boat, the 40 foot GOOD NEWS, Isaiah 55. About two years ago, God was again about to move in the ministry. Don Pagano, a newly saved Christian, was on the beach in Jupiter, Florida when he felt the presence of the Lord telling him to find a boat to take people fishing and evangelize. He was led to the GOOD NEWS in a way that can only be described as miraculous. He and Captain Tony met a few weeks later and realized that God had brought them together for a purpose; to continue, grow and build the ministry, so all will hear the "good news" of our Lord and savior. Captain Tony, faithful to Gods calling, said "The message of Jesus Christ will be preached on every trip".
