Partnerships

  As the ministry has grown, and continues to have more of an impact, we find ourselves developing deeper relationships with certain groups and organizations. Currently we have established a type of partnership with 3 such organizations:

  1. 1. Urban Youth Impact-Riviera Beach, Fl

  We have started to embark on a relationship with all staff members of Urban Youth Impact. They have begun to use the GOOD NEWS Fishing Ministry as an extension to some of their inner city programs. Specifically, the after school program, adult mentoring, and Dunbar Village outreach. Additionally, we serve as a vehicle to bring staff members & volunteers together for meetings & fellowship.

  1. 2. Christ Fellowship Church, Palm Beach Gardens, Fl

  Christ Fellowship has 2 church wide sport ministry programs, one is tennis, and the other is fishing. The GOOD NEWS Fishing Ministry is the registered fishing ministry for the church. We currently have about 20 registered members, and this number is growing. We have set aside the second Saturday of each month for this church ministry. Each member is encouraged to use the GOOD NEWS as an outreach to invite family and friends who do not attend church, to come out for fishing, and to hear the Word of God. The partnership is bearing fruit, and will also be a source of volunteers for the ministry.

  1. 3. USA Teams, Wellington, FL

  USA Teams, under the direction of Don Elmore has extended the GOOD NEWS into the mission field. Our partnership has brought us to the island of Eleuthera, in the Bahamas, to help in the construction of Jordan Stone, a mission retreat facility and center. As part of this project, we were introduced to the Men of Faith, in Palmetto Point, and invited to bring the GOOD NEWS Fishing Ministry there. We are currently in planning to start our ministry there this summer 2008. We anticipate to partner in other such projects, in the mission field, including one in Peru, on the Amazon River. It is the goal of the GOOD NEWS Fishing Ministry to establish other partnerships, with other organizations and churches as we continue to impact lives for Christ.
