MISSION OPPORTUNITIES FOR CRUISE WITH A CAUSE ‘07

Daytime Options (For Tuesday June 5th)

  1. School Ministry (Led by First Priority)

You will be trained to be a counselor in one of the schools on the island. We will take music, drama, schools supplies, and the Gospel into the schools on the island. Please feel free to bring schools supplies for the schools. We need people in willing to pray and minister with the children who make decisions for Christ and confirm those decisions so that we can begin the follow up process with local churches. If your church has a group who does drama, has a choir, or any other creative way of ministering, we want to invite you to audition the first night on the ship for an opportunity to minister in one of the schools. To register for this, please e-mail Matthew@praisefestministries.com

  1. Street Witnessing Ministry (Led by Way of the Master and the Good News Network)

The Way of the Master is a Christian evangelism training ministry, created in 2002 and headed by Kirk Cameron, of Growing Pains and Left Behind: The Movie, and evangelist Ray Comfort. Key aspects include a TV show, radio broadcast, numerous books, online school, small group training courses, and Web site of the same name. The television show in particular was the recipiant of numerous awards from the NRB association, including the "People's Choice Award" and the "Best Program Award" during the years of 2004-2006.

Mission and Statement of Faith  -- 150,000 people die every 24 hours—most without the Savior. We are deeply concerned that so few Christians reach out to the lost. Statistics show that this is as low as 5%. One of the reasons for this is that many don’t feel equipped. As a ministry, our sole purpose is to inspire and equip Christians—to teach them how to share the gospel simply, effectively, biblically . . . the way Jesus did. “The Way of the Master” is non-denominational. We believe and preach that the Bible is the Word of God, and that Jesus Christ is God manifest in the flesh, crucified for the sin of the world, and that He rose again on the third day. We believe and teach that salvation is by grace, through faith, and not of works. www.wayofthemaster.com
TBN's JCTV is a Christian youth network designed for the 13-30 age group. What makes JCTV different is that while most television networks are profit driven, meaning that they need to get something out of their viewers regardless of the social or emotional impact on their lives, JCTV wants to put back into the lives of our viewers by giving them programming that is not only entertaining but also builds up the viewer both individually and together as a community.

JCTV does this thru multiple types of programming from music videos with positive messages, to issue driven talk shows that equips viewers with tools to resolve issues in ones life. Also, action sports programming that highlights athletes that are making a difference in others lives, plus live events, concerts and much, much more. www.jctv.org

GNN is an organization of committed Christians who know there’s nothing better a Christian could be doing than sowing the seed of the gospel daily. He desires that that by all means possible some may be saved. GNN is a “Net” doing the “Work” that Jesus commanded all Christians to do (see Mark 16:15). It’s also the organization that founded and hosts the Evangelism Boot Camp, in association with The Way of the Master ministries. We were founded on two basic principals. First, “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” (Matthew 6:33). Second, “Do What Jesus Did.” It’s to that end that we have developed a place where like-minded Christians can join together to instruct, encourage and equip each other on an ongoing basis. GNN is the place where “Seed Sowers” can surround themselves with others who are dedicated to seeking and saving the lost. www.thegreatnews.com

A program is underway to serve the public through educational efforts concerning a First Amendment right and religious freedom issue. This is to bring a state certified Bible course (elective) into the public high schools nationwide.

The curriculum for the program shows a concern to convey the content of the Bible as compared to literature and history. The program is concerned with education rather than indoctrination of students. The central approach of the class is simply to study the Bible as a foundation document of society, and that approach is altogether appropriate in a comprehensive program of secular education.

The world is watching to see if we will be motivated to impact our culture, to deal with the moral crises in our society, and reclaim our families and children.

Please help us to restore our religious and civil liberties in this nation. -- Elizabeth Ridenour www.bibleinschools.net
